An excellent opportunity to combine fun activities and overnight stays with delicious food. In fact, the national park has no fewer than four restaurants named in the Michelin Guide.
The Lindenhof
One of the pearls in the national park is De Lindenhof in Giethoorn. This restaurant has no less than 2 Michelin stars. A unique experience that begins with the welcome in a farmhouse with a thatched roof, which beautifully reflects the character of the area. The greatest quality is the enthusiastic service of hostess Marjan and the cuisine of Martin Kruithof, a traditional chef who has moved with the times. Have a unique experience at this wonderful restaurant!
Kaatje bij de Sluis
The other restaurant in the area with a Michelin star is Kaatje bij de Sluis. Located in the picturesque town of Blokzijl. With a table by the window, the beautiful view of the lock and the typical brick houses can be enjoyed. The dishes on the menu testify to the creativity of the chef. Here fine flavors are shaken up in bold combinations. Here, quality comes first!
Bib Gourmand - The Upper Master
In addition to the restaurants with Michelin stars, National Park Weerribben-Wieden also has a restaurant with a Bib Gourmand. This is de Bovenmeester located in Steenwijk, where it can be found in an old school building. Nowadays a warm and welcoming restaurant, where classic French cooking is combined with different influences and styles. The Bib-Gourmand means that it offers sublime value for money!
Robust
The most recent addition to the Michelin guide is restaurant Robuust from Vollenhove. A delightful restaurant run by 2 brothers, Raimon and Peter Ian Pot. Self described as also quite robust, but with a small and golden heart. Excellent food is prepared here with regional products. What is special about this restaurant is the combination with food and wine, but especially beer. Peter Ian is a certified beer ambassador and explains that "what not many people know is that you can also combine dishes well and very nicely with special beers." Definitely worth a visit!
Besides these restaurants mentioned in the Michelin guide, there are also plenty of other restaurants where very good food can be enjoyed. Come cozy to National Park Weerribben-Wieden and enjoy the culinary experience. Ratings by guests can be read on TripAdvisor or Google.
