Buitencentrum Weerribben is the starting point for a boat trip with covered canal boat, whisper boat or canoe in National Park Weerribben-Wieden. Or a walking or cycling tour. With tranquility, reeds and space. First come inside to see more outside. In the outdoor center is a tourist information point and lots of information about the nature reserve.
In the nature reserve De Weerribben peat was once cut and that is still visible. Strips of land and water alternate. Together with nature reserve De Wieden, De Weerribben forms the largest low moor swamp of northwestern Europe.
Sailing with the forester
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning from April to October you can sail with the forest ranger. Experience jumping on quaking bog and discover special inhabitants of De Weerribben.
