Cycling and hiking enthusiasts who wish to see the most beautiful, quiet and peaceful spots in Weerribben-Wieden will be delighted with the quaint options for crossing the water.

Jonen ferry

This ferry takes you across the water between cycling network hubs 51 and 52. The ferry operates from April to October between 10:00 and 17:30. The fare is €1.20 per person.

Ecowaterliner water taxi

For those wishing to combine their crossing with a longer trip, the Ecowaterliner water taxi is ideal. This vessel sails across the lakes between Sint-Jansklooster, Blokzijl and Giethoorn.

Boat route
The Ecowaterliners sail from Visitor Centre De Wieden in Sint Jansklooster right across the Beulakerwijde. One boat sails to former Zuiderzee town Blokzijl and back to the Visitor Centre. The other boat sails to water village Giethoorn and back. A single trip from Sint Jansklooster to Blokzijl takes approx. 75 minutes. A single trip to Giethoorn takes approx. 60 minutes.

Departure times and tickets
The Ecowaterliners depart at fixed times from the various stops. Your tickets are available from Visitor Centre De Wieden in Sint Jansklooster or on board at the stops in Blokzijl or Giethoorn. During the sailing season (May until September), the boats sail 7 days a week.
