In this water village, tranquility and stunning nature go hand in hand with water sports fun. You can sail, cycle or ice-skate (!) to one of the many café-restaurants by the water in no time. Or just glide through the Giethoorn canals on an authentic punt. A (sail-)punt is pushed along using a quant pole. Two shipyards remain in Giethoorn, where the original Giethoorn punt and other flat-bottomed boats are built. Tip: visit the fairytale gondola ride!
